Floor Access Soundproofing Solutions
It is a common misunderstanding that it is easier to effect soundproofing from the floor than it is via ceiling. We believe on balance that the ceiling is often the simpler solution.
When making the decision on what type of flooring system you want there are a number of decisions that need to be made.
- Can you raise floor height . If so by how much?
- What is the final walking surface you are looking to have (carpet, original
timbers, laminate etc)
- Can you gain access to the void between the joists i.e. raise the floor
boards ( to fill with acoustic mineral wool)
- Is the problem you are trying to cure your impact and airborne sound or
your neighbours airborne sound.
- If you are trying to achieve regulation E we can offer a range of proprietary
floating floor systems from manufacturers such as Monarfloor
or Celecta.
If you can gain access to the void between the joists and do not wish to raise floor height then our under floor solutions would be suitable for your needs. We also have a range of above floor solutions for those people who have access restrictions and don't mind raising the floor height with a solution that is easier to install.
