Hush-Ply 28 has been designed as an impact reducing floor panel that can be used as a structural or an overlay board. Offering an alternative to the standard chipboard finish, Hush-Ply 28 is regarded as an Acoustic Plywood and is especially suitable for areas requiring extra moisture protection, such as kitchens and bathrooms and offers an excellent surface for application of the final flooring finish, whether using ceramic tiles or wooden flooring.

  • Can be laid over concrete, existing timber floors or directly over joists up to 450mm centres*
  • Comprises 18mm WBP tongued and grooved plywood with 10mm HushfeltTM resilient layer
  • Overall Board Dimensions 2400mm x 600mm x 28mm
  • Overall nominal thickness 28mm
  • FFL over floor deck 26mm
  • FFL over timber joists *36mm (used in conjunction with Hush-10 Joist strip)

This Plywood Panel has been used to sound proof flooring in all sectors such as Clinics. Gym’s, Factories, Schools and more frequently in residential apartments and homes.

Stud wall method

Two alcoves with independent stud walls built and insulation/clips installed.
The result? It works, was sceptical it would,so it was a gamble, sound reduced from neighbours is 70% less and now feel like our semi detached house is more like a fully detached! I’m glad I did it, took me 2 days in total.
